Then on july 10 1985 they blew up the rainbow warrior just before midnight at the marsden wharf in auckland. The two that bombed the rainbow warrior were later arrested on july 24.

Imagine if you came to a rugby game just wanting to watch a game of rugby when these protesters came to the game and slowed it down by chucking flour bombs onto the field. Mainly the apartheid law in south Africa so black people didn’t have the same rights as white people springboks didn’t want Maori players in the test games. That's why the protesters were protesting against the test matches. After the protesters couldn’t get their way passively they resulted in violence to get into the stadium.This is what south African journalist said about the test “BAD ENOUGH HAVING TO PLAY OFFICIALLY DESIGNATED NEW ZEALAND NATIVES, BUT SPECTACLE THOUSANDS EUROPEANS FRANTICALLY CHEERING ON BAND OF COLOURED MEN TO DEFEAT MEMBERS OF OWN RACE WAS TOO MUCH FOR SPRINGBOKS WHO FRANKLY DISGUSTED.”

temple basin ski camp

On Monday we went skiing at temple basin. For the car ride, I was in Jacks car with me and Renae. when we got to the mountain we were learning to do a pizza slice shape with our skies. my favorite part was the last day when I had the basics down and I could just ski. My least favorite thing was the ski boots they were so hard to walk in and they hurt your ankles. The hardest part for me was getting the pizza shape and turning.

this week we chosen who won the boomwriter in my group Miller won. On Thursday the year 8s went on their rafting trip.

so this week was cross country I came third. This week I have been focusing a lot on the run like yesterday I got 12.54 one of my better times this year. We read this book about Steve Gurney and this week he came in and he told us about how he didn't win the coast to coast 4 times before he won it 9 times and then we asked him some questions also a professional trainer came in with Gurney and he told us a bit. On Thursday a person from bright sparks came in a taught us about electronics and there were these things called bristle bots and you needed to charge them up and they did like donuts everywhere and there was a solar paneled robot that moved in the sun and you could build a tank out of it and you were in a group and you needed to build a robot then try make go forward by adjusting the wheels and yeah

cross country reflextion

so Monday was cross country the ICT committee timed the race and filmed I was one of the timers. when it was the year 7s turn to run I was nervous as hell. Our run was one lap of the paddock around the block another lap of the paddock and then a lap around the field. It sounded so simple but it wasn't when you were running. Overall I came third jack second and lochie first.

week 1 term 2 reflection

we get back to school after the holidays and our new debate topic is boys vs girls and I am on the girl's side. I am doing it about women in the military. this week we started training for basketball and started training for the astroturf football competition. Today we have our first basketball match I can't wait. this week we started mandarin and we tried to use chopsticks.

when we got to the cave entrance we were all hyped but really nervous. the first corner was above my waist I didn't have any leggings so my legs just went numb and I couldn't feel the coldness on my legs anymore.

about halfway through I had fallen over about 10 times. when we sat down Mr s-w told us a story about a family that had gone in unprepared and their mother died of hypothermia. At the end there was about a 10 step ladder high when you got up the ladder there was a ledge that you needed to crawl under when we got out everyone was so happy and exhausted.
