My point of view is that coal mines on conservation land should be shut down because mining is bad
for the environment and it makes our country look bad.

because of all the industrial machines and logs left on the side of the road.
Also burning coal is bad for the environment because it releases global warming gases
into the environment and burns holes into the ozone layer.

Also if you ban mining there will be less coal which means more people will buy heat pumps
which means global warming will be less of effect on the earth and we won't be killed by the
rising oceans.

And if the mine blows up there will be a lot of people killed and if you don't die in the explosion the
rockfall will kill you.

If we stop mining on conservation land the tourism will skyrocket because there will be beautiful bush and native birds and animals will be roaming the forest, but if we keep mining there will be massive holes and gravel and dirt piles everywhere which will kill tourism in places like the west coast. Also at Franz Josef the smoke from the mines melt the ice which is bad for tourism and the environment.

(this is not my opinion)
